JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:
EXPLORATION GUIDE

Program Description:The Explorers' Club is a unique, high-energy day camp on wheels. Playful, educational and adventurous, each day is different and packed with safe and creative trips. Transportation is provided in our 15-passenger van. There are never more than thirteen children with two teachers, so each child gets plenty of attention. No other major metropolitan center in the world has such an extensive system of wild greenbelts as San Francisco. Children get to explore the extraordinarily rich and varied wild hills, valleys, bay, ocean, islands and mountains in their own backyard.

Trips include nature study at local beaches, tide pools, mountains and parks; workshops and exhibits at local museums; swimming at least once a week, bowling, and performances. There is always time for free play, story telling, arts and crafts, building castles and bridges. Challenging and delightful activities increase the child's analytical and observational skills, and their appreciation and respect for nature. Each session will include a service element such as beach cleanup or habitat restoration. The children get to participate in decision-making and enjoy spontaneous as well as structured activities. They'll have an experience that will leave them with lifetime memories, friends, and skills.
